RECREATIONAL NEWS:
Evaluation weeks are now over and we are so excited to see the number of students that have moved up. There are many students that are a few skills away from moving up. There are core skills that are needed to move up in each level. If your child does not have these skills, they will not be able to move up until they have them. Please check out our CORE SKILLS bulletin board in the lobby windows to see these skills. We do this because in order to be successful in the next level, these skills must be able to be done independently. If you have any questions, please see your child’s instructor.

Why gymnastics for young kids??? By: Luan Peszek

1. Plain and simple its fun. Where else can kids run, jump, flip, swing, tumble and use all of their energy in a single class.

2. You can start young. We have classes that cater to toddlers and parents so they can learn and play together. It's the first form of organized activity your child can participate in.

3. Physical benefits- Gymnastics teaches strength, flexibility, agility, confidence, balance, and allows them to interact with other children in a social environment learning to take turns.

4. Non-physical benefits- When doing gymnastics children are also exercising their brains as well as their bodies. Research suggests that there is a strong correlation between physically fit children and academic achievement.

MONTHLY TUITION REMINDER
Just a reminder about our monthly tuition policies. Our program is year-round and features monthly continuous enrollment. Your child is guaranteed a spot as long as your fees are up to date.

The only way to become un-enrolled from our program is to fill out a Withdrawal form. This form is required and must be received by the 20th of the month for the following month.

Unless we receive proper notice, you will be responsible for the next month’s billing tuition and fees. Power in Motion Gymnastics does not issue refunds.

DANCE NEWS

Shoes: Please make sure to label your dancer’s shoes. We want to make sure shoes do not get mixed up and eliminate confusion in the classroom when switching shoes.

Restroom: Please make sure your dancer visits the restroom prior to the start of class. We like to maximize the time we have with your child inside the classroom working on skills and having fun.

Holiday Dances: As the Holidays are approaching each dance class will begin to learn a Holiday dance. Parents will be invited in to class before the Holiday break to watch the dances. This allows students to practice remembering dance choreography and performing it in front of people. To help with your dancer’s memory, ask them to practice the dance at home for you!
