All students that perform in a show, will not need a one-day pass for that day of shows. They would need a pass if they were coming to a show on a different day other than their own.

**There will not be a one show ticket option.

WITHDRAWAL INFORMATION/SUMMER MAKEUP POLICY:
With summer months coming up, we understand outside activities and vacations are more common during this time. We hope that your child will stay with us for these summer months to continue in their gymnastics journey. During the summer months, we are more flexible with our make-ups and allow more than one per month if need be due to vacations and other activities. Thank you to all families who have been calling and emailing to let us know your child(ren) will be absent. We appreciate you!

Just a reminder for those of you that take the summer off for gymnastics. Please make sure that your Withdrawal Form (available at the front desk) is filled out and turned in by the 20th of the month PRIOR to withdrawing. Example: If you would like to take a break starting in June, your withdraw form would be due by May 20th. If we do not receive this form by the 20th of the month, you will be charged and responsible for the following month’s tuition.

LEAVING EARLY?

If your child has to leave early, please communicate with the instructor or let the front desk know. Please do not go into the gym. We will gladly help get them to you at the appropriate time.

MONTHLY TUITION REMINDER

Just a reminder about our monthly tuition policies. Our program is year-round and features monthly continuous enrollment. Your child is guaranteed a spot as long as your fees are up to date.

The only way to become un-enrolled from our program is to fill out a withdrawal form. This form is required and must be received by the 20th of the month for the following month.

Unless we receive proper notice, you will be responsible for the next month’s billing tuition and fees. Power in Motion Gymnastics does not issue refunds.

PRESCHOOL NEWS

Continuing from our previous newsletter, preschool gymnasts can benefit in more ways than one. Our next topic is the behavioral advantages that our program provides. Behavioral benefits from the preschool program include patience and resilience, confidence, and peer interaction.

Specifically our Parent Tot program really helps to facilitate a strong parent-child relationship. Building trust by lifting them to a bar and cheering them on while you let go. Building confidence by allowing them to try things on their own without your help. Building this physical and emotional support is so beneficial at this stage in their lives and gymnastics careers as it fosters an independence that later will be needed in the Tiny Tots program.

Patience and resilience are both gained in preschool classes. While waiting for their turn, students are learning to be patient which will come in handy later when learning harder skills that take longer to master. Students are taught that falling off a beam and getting right back up and trying again is okay.

Confidence can be a hard one to learn while in gymnastics since every station has its own challenges. Students will begin to learn which events are hard and which ones are easy and the confidence will begin to blossom in more than one area. Seeing the confidence in your child once they do master that hard skill is so exciting.

Peer-interaction is learned in our preschool program in many ways. Students learn to take turns, be partners, and to share positive attention from their coach. When we play games, students are learning about sharing, teamwork, and working on their conflict-resolution skills.

DANCE NEWS

Dance students have begun to learn their recital routines and are doing great at remembering them week to week! Please try to attend all classes between now and the recital, as makeup classes may have a different routine than your child’s class. More information regarding recital attire will be coming out in your classes soon. If you have any questions about the recital, please feel free to ask Miss Sydney.

If you have not yet turned in your recital commitment sheet, please turn that into the front desk as soon as possible. Thank you for the those that have already done so.

BERRIEN SPRINGS/NILES PARTNERSHIP FAMILIES:
Just a reminder that if you are wanting to withdraw for summer classes, you will need to fill out a withdraw form so your credit card on file is not charged for June classes. This is due by May 20th and can be picked up at the front desk.

If you would like to stay enrolled in your current classes through the summer, you do not need to do anything. Your credit card on file will be charged for the summer months. If you have any questions, please call or visit the front desk.

EVALUATIONS:
It’s that time of year again where we are looking at the growth of your child in the sport of gymnastics. We continuously are monitoring their strengths and new skills throughout the year, but this is a time to reflect on the skills they have gained and retained as a part of their gymnastics experience.

You will notice coaches will have evaluation sheets out with them and stickers for students to mark any new skills they have attained. Over the next few weeks, coaches will be coming out into the lobby to talk to you about your child’s skills. If you cannot stay, but would like to speak with a coach about your child’s skills, please call us and we will have a coach get in contact with you. We are excited to celebrate the growth of your child with you!
